Al-Rabiah: The crisis in Sudan is one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world.

September 28, 2025 (PEN) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, advisor to the Royal Court and supervisor general of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, said that the crisis in Sudan "is one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world," stressing that Saudi Arabia "has sought a political solution and de-escalation since the early days."

In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Al-Rabiah explained that the Kingdom has held two conferences in Jeddah and is continuing its efforts to achieve a ceasefire and sustainable peace and security in Sudan.

He pointed out that Saudi Arabia has activated its humanitarian arm, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to provide support to all affected groups "without discrimination," saying, "We are not punishing the Sudanese people because of political differences between warring factions."

He added, "This is why the Kingdom has gained everyone's trust because it provides aid with complete impartiality."

He explained that the Kingdom had sent food and medicine, and that Saudi medical teams, despite the risks, had performed surgeries on Sudanese patients regardless of their affiliations or regions. He emphasized that the primary goal was "to ensure security and stability."
