The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Sudan expresses its appreciation for the funding provided by the United Nations Emergency Response Fund

April 25, 2024 (PEN) The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Sudan has expressed its deep appreciation and gratitude to the United Nations Emergency Response Fund for providing generous and timely funding.

UNHCR said that the new funding is an important step to enhance protection and provide vital support to displaced people, refugees and host communities, especially in areas suffering from the effects of conflicts and humanitarian crises.

Humanitarian organizations have warned of a catastrophic danger facing Sudan as a result of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions resulting from the continuation of the conflict between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces since mid-April last year.
