King Salman Relief launches Noor Saudi Arabia project to combat blindness in Sudan

July 29, 2024 (PEN) King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched the Saudi Light Volunteer Project to combat blindness and the diseases that cause it in the localities of Atbara, Port Sudan, Kassala and Ad-Damazin, which will be held during the period from July 15 to September 15, 2024.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said that the center’s volunteer medical team has performed 37 retinal injections, 14 glaucoma surgeries, 73 laser surgeries, 34 retinal surgeries, and 28 minor eye surgeries since the campaign began, all of which were crowned with complete success, praise be to God.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), this project is part of the humanitarian and relief projects implemented by the Kingdom, represented by its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to support the medical sector and help patients and those suffering from eye diseases with limited income in a number of countries.
