Britain appoints Richard Crowder as head of its office in Sudan

September 14, 2024 (PEN) The British Foreign Office announced on Friday the appointment of Richard Crowder as Head of the British Office in Sudan and UK Special Representative to the country, succeeding Mr. Giles Lever.

According to the British Foreign Office, Crowder has a distinguished CV, including a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. He has held several prominent positions in the British Foreign Office, including Officer in Charge for the Great Lakes Region of Africa, Head of the Economics Unit, and Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in London.
