The Steadfastness Alliance condemns the execution of an unarmed civilian in El Fasher, describing it as a "racist crime."

August 18, 2025 (PEN) The Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces (Sumud) condemned what it described as a "heinous crime" committed by a member of the Rapid Support Forces against an unarmed civilian in El Fasher, describing it as "a racist crime that reveals the true face of this war, which is based on hatred and discrimination and violates the most basic rights, foremost among them the right to life and human dignity."

The coalition said in a statement that this crime "is not an isolated incident, but rather an extension of a series of systematic violations targeting civilians across Sudan," stressing that "the blood of Sudanese men and women is one and the same, and is not measured by tribe, region, or color."

The statement added, "Our moral and national duty requires us to demand a prompt and transparent investigation and hold accountable all those involved in this crime," calling on the international community and justice institutions to "exert maximum pressure to stop these violations and protect civilians."

The Steadfastness Coalition urged revolutionary forces, especially the youth, to "unite in the face of these crimes, raise the voices of the victims and show solidarity with their families, reject hate speech and regionalism, and work to rebuild the social fabric torn apart by this disastrous war."

The coalition affirmed its commitment to "the struggle to end the war and build a civil, democratic state based on citizenship without discrimination."
