Russia and Ethiopia stress the importance of dialogue to ensure stability in Sudan

February 4, 2024 (PEN) Moscow and Addis Ababa stressed that there is no alternative to finding a national consensus in Sudan that guarantees the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

This came after diplomatic consultations between Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, and Ethiopian Deputy Foreign Minister Misganu Arega.

The two sides also discussed issues related to the future development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Ethiopia.
