The Sudanese Doctors Network documents 32 cases of rape of girls fleeing El Fasher

November 16, 2025 (pen) The Sudanese Doctors Network said on Sunday that its team had documented, based on medical and field information, 32 confirmed cases of rape in one week of girls who arrived from El Fasher to the Tawila area.

The network explained - as reported by Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper - that some of the attacks occurred inside El Fasher after the Rapid Support Forces stormed the city, while others were attacked while trying to flee towards Tawila.

The network condemned what it described as rapes committed by members of the Rapid Support Forces against women in El Fasher and those fleeing the war, considering these violations to be a "flagrant breach" of international humanitarian law and amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The Doctors' Network held the Rapid Support Forces fully responsible for these crimes, calling for an urgent and independent international investigation, immediate protection for survivors and witnesses, and allowing medical and humanitarian organizations full access to provide medical care, psychological and legal support without restrictions.
