The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate congratulates two journalists on assuming prestigious international positions.

August 24, 2025 (PEN) The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate congratulated its members, Hiba Abdel-Azim and Haider Abdel-Karim, on assuming prominent positions in the international media arena, considering this step to be "a source of pride for Sudanese journalism and proof of the presence of national competencies capable of competing regionally and internationally."

The Syndicate said in a statement that colleague Heba Abdel Azim was selected to join the Global Investigative Journalism Forum's (GIJC2025) Fellowship Program, describing it as "a recognition of her capabilities and skills in the field of in-depth investigative journalism."

In the same context, the Syndicate noted that colleague Haider Abdul Karim was selected by the Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) network to serve as a trainer specializing in the use of artificial intelligence in journalism, underscoring his expertise in integrating modern technologies into journalistic work.

The union affirmed that these achievements "represent a source of pride not only for the two colleagues, but for Sudanese journalists in general," emphasizing that they "incentivize further engagement in regional and international arenas and the demonstration of professional capabilities."
