Al-Jazeera State affirms its commitment to supporting child protection and care programs.

October 12, 2025 (PEN) - The Governor of Al-Jazeera State, Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair, met with a delegation from the National Council for Child Welfare, headed by Dr. Abdul Qadir Abdullah Abu. The meeting discussed ways to enhance child protection and raise awareness of their rights.

The governor affirmed his support for the council's programs, considering that "children are the future of the nation," noting the destruction and looting the state had suffered at the hands of the Rapid Support Forces.

For his part, the council chairman called for the allocation of a permanent headquarters for the state's Child Welfare Council, while council secretary Fatima Ali Babiker announced the launch of World Children's Day celebrations in the city of Madani.

The Minister of Social Welfare in Blue Nile State announced the intention to establish a twinning agreement between the state and Al-Jazeera to exchange expertise.
