Sisi: I call for wisdom to prevail to stop wars in the region.

June 30, 2025 (PEN) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, in his speech marking the eleventh anniversary of the June 30, 2013 Revolution, affirmed that the region is "groaning under the fires of war," pointing to the rising voices of victims from the stricken Gaza Strip to the ongoing conflicts in Sudan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and Somalia.

From the "platform of historical responsibility," Sisi called on the conflicting parties and the international community to heed the voice of wisdom and reason and take all necessary measures to spare the peoples of the region the scourge of destruction.

The Egyptian president stressed that Egypt, a consistent supporter of peace, believes that peace "is not born through bombing, imposed by force, or achieved through normalization rejected by the people," adding that true peace is built on justice, fairness, and understanding.
