The Moroccan national team qualified for the final of the African Cup of Nations football tournament today, after winning on penalties (4-2) against Nigeria, after the original and extra time ended in a goalless draw.

The match ended in a goalless draw in both regular and extra time, despite the intense attacking pressure from Morocco, amidst strong fan support at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, forcing the two teams to resort to penalty kicks.

Nigeria missed two penalties through Bruno Onyeamachi and Samuel Chukwueze, while Hamza Akmane missed for Morocco, sending the hosts to the Africa Cup of Nations final for the first time since 2004.
