Manchester City have announced the successful surgery of Rodri, the club's first-team football player.
Numerous previous reports have linked Real Madrid with a move for Spanish international Rodri, captain of the Spanish national team and Manchester City player.

The English club said in a statement that the Spanish midfielder had been suffering from minor lower back pain, but has now undergone surgery to resolve the problem, and will begin his rehabilitation program shortly.

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that this operation will not affect Rodri's chances of joining Real Madrid, as the injury is not serious, and the Spanish national team captain has shown that he has fully recovered from the cruciate ligament injury.

Real Madrid plans to restructure the team by strengthening the team's needs within the plan followed by Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.

Rodri will be the ideal solution and the de facto leader of Real Madrid's midfield, and with him all the imbalance problems that the Spanish club has suffered from in the past two seasons will end.

Rodri has only one year left on his contract, which ends in 2027, and the player does not intend to leave for any club other than Real Madrid.
