On March 10, 1967, in a friendly match, Sudan and Iraq drew 2-2.

• The second confrontation:

On July 1, 2012, in the Arab Championship held in Saudi Arabia, our national team drew with Iraq 1-1. Ahmed Adel scored for our team, while Salam Shaker scored for Iraq.

• Al-Hilal defeats Iraq:

Al-Hilal previously faced the Iraqi national team in a friendly match in 1987, which Al-Hilal won 3-1. Walid Tashin scored two goals for Al-Hilal, and Subhi scored one, while Adnan Hamad scored Iraq's lone goal.
