MSF warns of worsening humanitarian crisis in Sudan

March 19, 2025 (PEN) Doctors Without Borders (MSF) warned of a worsening humanitarian crisis in Sudan as the two-year anniversary of the outbreak of the conflict approaches, stressing that millions of civilians are trapped in the midst of violence between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces.

The organization noted that Sudan is experiencing the largest displacement crisis in the world, with more than 12 million people forced to flee their homes, including more than 3 million who have sought refuge in neighboring countries such as Chad and South Sudan, amid dire humanitarian conditions characterized by food insecurity and the spread of epidemics.

The organization called on the international community and the media to shed light on the suffering of the Sudanese people, stressing that continuing the crisis in silence should not be an option.
