America and Kenya call for the delivery of humanitarian aid to Sudan and an end to the fighting

May 25, 2024 (PEN) The United States of America and the Republic of Kenya called on the warring parties to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need in Sudan and agree to a ceasefire.

This came during a joint conference between US President Joe Biden and his Kenyan counterpart, William Ruto, following the latter’s visit to the US capital, Washington. The two sides discussed the situation in Ukraine, Gaza and Africa and establishing new partnerships in the fields of technology, security and alleviating the debt burden on Kenya.
