The US condemns the Rapid Support Forces' attack on a hospital and mosque in El Fasher.

October 12, 2025 (PEN) - US President Donald Trump's African Affairs Advisor, Mussad Boulos, condemned the reported attack on the last hospital in the besieged city of El Fasher and a nearby mosque in North Darfur, which he said resulted in the deaths and injuries of several civilians, including doctors and nurses.

In a tweet posted on the X platform, Paulos said that the attack attributed to the Rapid Support Forces on medical and religious facilities in a city suffering from a siege and the denial of humanitarian aid is unjustifiable.

He added that the conflict in Sudan has been prolonged and is claiming innocent lives daily through attacks and famine. He called on the warring parties to "realize that there is no military solution to the crisis and to end this conflict."
