Emir of Qatar affirms Qatar's keenness to end fighting in Sudan

Sept. 7, 2023(pen) His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, affirmed Qatar's keenness to support efforts to end the ongoing fighting in Sudan in order to preserve its unity, security and stability, according to the Qatar News Agency.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad said in a post on his official account on the social media platform (X), "I am pleased to receive my brother Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and our discussions that we held to strengthen our well-established brotherly relations and develop bilateral cooperation between us in various fields," adding that "I renewed Qatar's constant keenness to support efforts to end the ongoing fighting in Sudan in order to preserve its unity, security and stability."
