The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States strongly condemns the attack on Wad Al-Noura

June 9, 2024 (PEN) The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, strongly condemned the attack carried out by the Rapid Support Forces in the “Wad Al-Noura” area of ​​Al-Jazeera State in central Sudan on Tuesday, June 5, 2024, which resulted in the death of more than One hundred civilians.

Aboul Gheit expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this tragedy, and his wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured.

Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesman for the Secretary-General, stressed the Arab League’s full support for the efforts made to stop the ongoing conflict in Sudan and restore the role of the Sudanese state at all levels.
