OCHA: Sudan is facing a food crisis that threatens millions of people

May 8, 2024 (PEN) The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that Sudan is experiencing a crisis of epic proportions.

The office stated in a tweet on (X) that 17.7 million people in Sudan suffer from food insecurity, while 4.9 million people live on the brink of famine.

OCHA added that the humanitarian emergency managers team visited Sudan to see the devastating impact of the war. Reminding the world not to forget Sudan.
