The European Union launches an emergency air bridge to aid Darfur.

December 15, 2025 (PEN) The European Union announced the launch of an emergency air bridge to deliver humanitarian aid to Sudan’s Darfur region.

This came, according to the Anadolu News Agency, in a statement issued by the European Commission on Monday, in which it explained that the aid would be transported via eight flights.

The statement noted that the first flights arrived in Darfur last Friday, carrying approximately 100 tons of humanitarian aid.

The European Commission noted that the aid was collected from EU stockpiles and partner organizations, and confirmed that flights would continue until next January.
