The Turkish Foreign Ministry renews its travel warning for Sudan.

May 9, 2025 (PEN) The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed today that the travel and security warning issued on December 27, 2023, remains in effect, in light of the deteriorating security situation in Sudan, which it expressed its deep regret over.

In an official statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry urged its citizens to refrain from traveling to Sudan unless absolutely necessary, stressing the importance of exercising caution for citizens currently in the country.

The ministry called on Turkish citizens in Sudan, who are not required to remain, to leave the country as soon as possible via limited commercial flights from Port Sudan, or, depending on their geographical location, by land or sea.
