Turkish Foreign Ministry condemns violations against civilians in El Fasher

October 29, 2025 (PEN) The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep concern regarding the recent developments in El Fasher, North Darfur State, and strongly condemned the violations committed by the Rapid Support Forces against civilians.

Ankara confirmed in an official statement its support for the Arab League’s position on the events, calling for an immediate cessation of fighting in and around El Fasher, and an end to attacks against innocent civilians.

The statement stressed the importance of securing safe humanitarian corridors to ensure unhindered access for aid, with full compliance with international humanitarian law and the protection of the civilian population.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry concluded its statement by affirming Türkiye’s unwavering support for Sudan’s unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty, stressing that dialogue is the best way to resolve the conflict peacefully and sustainably.
