Red Cross: Increased fighting in El Fasher is putting unbearable pressure on residents and resources

3 June 2024 (PEN) The International Committee of the Red Cross said that increased fighting in El Fasher is putting unbearable pressure on hundreds of thousands of residents and on the city's meager resources.

She added in her tweet on “X” that preserving the lives of civilians is essential, and humanitarian organizations must be able to reach them with vital supplies.

It also stated that hospitals, markets, water supplies and other essential civilian services are not targets.
