The United Nations Population Fund warns of the escalation of the humanitarian crisis in Sudan

February 26, 2024 (PEN) The United Nations Population Fund confirmed the displacement of 7.8 million people inside and outside Sudan due to the ongoing war since mid-April last year.

The Fund said in a tweet on (X) that the humanitarian crisis that Sudan is witnessing is unimaginable.

He added that fears are increasing about the escalation of the crisis if the deadly ethnic conflict that Darfur witnessed 20 years ago is repeated.

Sudan is experiencing a state of humanitarian deterioration following the continued violent clashes between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces.
