The Sudanese Congress condemns the decision to prevent lawyer Hanan Hassan from obtaining a passport

July 16, 2024 (PEN) The Sudanese Congress Party revealed that its member, lawyer Hanan Hassan, was surprised by a decision issued by the Public Prosecution that imposed a ban on her from obtaining a passport.

He stated that Hanan received the decision, which he described as “unjust” and in violation of local and international regulations, from the authorities at the Sudanese embassy in the Ugandan capital, Kampala.

According to the party, the decision represents a systematic targeting of its cadres and the honorable people of the December Revolution with the intention of liquidating and burning it through the mechanism of the “cursed April 15 war,” as he put it.

The party confirmed that it will oppose the prosecution’s decision through all legal means.
