IOM announces the arrival of a new batch of tents to Port Sudan

July 27, 2024 (PEN) The International Organization for Migration announced via a tweet on the (X) platform that it received four cargo flights carrying 2,500 family tents in Port Sudan during the past week. These tents provide temporary shelter for 12,500 people forced to flee their homes due to the conflict.

The organization added that the presence of 1 in 5 people in Sudan who are internally displaced highlights the urgent need for shelter solutions.
