International migration provides assistance to displaced people in the states

January 14, 2024 (PEN) The International Organization for Migration said that it provided emergency food assistance to more than 200 displaced families in Kassala State, including pregnant and breastfeeding mothers in the state.

This comes with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the organization explained that as the violence continues, the need for support increases.

The organization, with the support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also provided direct cash assistance to more than 6,000 displaced people and host communities in Gedaref State.

The organization said , "The multi-purpose assistance provided by the International Organization for Migration provides a critical lifeline to affected families throughout Sudan."
