IOM: More than 1,700 families displaced from Nahud due to clashes

May 4, 2025 (PEN) The United Nations Migration Organization announced that 1,792 families have been displaced from the city of Nahud in West Kordofan State, as a result of ongoing clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces.

The organization explained, in a report issued on May 1, 2025, that most of the displaced families moved to sites within Al Nahud locality, while others headed to Ghubaysh and Al Adiya localities in West Kordofan State, and West Bara locality in North Kordofan State.

The Displacement Tracking Matrix's field monitoring teams confirmed that the situation remains tense and rapidly changing, noting that they continue to closely monitor developments.
