IOM: 253 families displaced from Abu Shouk camp and El Fasher city

June 22, 2025 (PEN) The United Nations Migration Organization (IOM) reported that 253 families were displaced from Abu Shouk IDP camp and El Fasher city in El Fasher locality, between June 18 and 21, 2025, due to escalating insecurity and deteriorating economic conditions.

According to the Displacement Tracking Matrix's field monitoring teams, these families have moved to other locations within El Fasher locality, as well as to El Sereif and Tawila localities in North Darfur state.

The organization indicated that the situation remains tense and rapidly changing.
