Qatar Red Crescent distributes food aid to the displaced in Wad Madani

October 10, 2023 (pen) The Qatar Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Sudanese Red Crescent, distributed 1,000 food baskets for the benefit of 5,000 beneficiaries of displaced Sudanese families in the city of Wad Madani in Al-Jazira State.

The Red Crescent stated that one basket contains quantities of basic foodstuffs sufficient for a family to last for two weeks, such as sugar, tea, cooking oil, rice, lentils, and flour.

It is noteworthy that since the outbreak of the conflict in Sudan on April 15, the Qatar Red Crescent has participated in humanitarian interventions by providing food and medical supplies to those in need.
