UNDP installs solar pumps to support farmers on the Nile River

18 September 2023 (PEN) As part of its efforts to promote access to water, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has installed hundreds of solar pumps across River Nile State to support farmers during this unprecedented crisis resulting from scarce access to gasoline and fuel, according to the programme.

As the influx of displaced people suffers and continues, urgent support is needed for communities in order to find long-term solutions, UNDP added.
