Blinken discusses with Sameh Shukry efforts to address the conflict in Sudan

August 23, 2023 (PEN) US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, during a phone call, ongoing efforts to address the conflict in Sudan, according to US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller.

The ongoing conflict in Sudan since April 15 between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces has killed more than 4,000 people and displaced millions, according to reports issued by humanitarian agencies.
