Tunisia recovers the bodies of Sudanese immigrants and opens investigations into the incident

February 8, 2024 (PEN) Floating units in Mahdia, Republic of Tunisia, were able to recover 13 bodies of Sudanese migrants and rescue two other people.

According to Tunisian Al-Jawhara FM radio, the boat carrying 42 Sudanese migrants was heading off the Italian coast.

She added that the Public Prosecution in Mahdia opened its investigations into the incident and the human trafficking case, issuing a decision to continue the search for the missing persons.
