Abdel Wahid Al-Nur's movement refuses to participate in the African Union conference in Ethiopia

July 9, 2024 (PEN) The Sudan Liberation Army Movement-Abdul Wahid Mohamed Ahmed Al-Nur wing announced its apology for participating in the political dialogue conference organized by the African Union in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, from July 10 to 15, 2024.

The movement explained in its statement issued on July 5, 2024, that it initially welcomed the invitation submitted by the African Union to participate in the conference. However, the movement demanded that the Union provide it with a list of participants in the conference before sending its delegation to Addis Ababa, indicating its firm and principled position not to sit with the National Conference and its facades for any reason.

The movement added that the African Union did not respond to its request to obtain a list of participants, which prompted it to take the decision to apologize for participating in the conference.
