The State of Qatar welcomes the final statement of the Summit of Sudan's Neighboring Countries

The State of Qatar welcomed the final statement of the Summit of Sudan's Neighboring Countries, which was held in Cairo, and considered it an important step within the regional and international efforts aimed at stopping the fighting in the sisterly Republic of Sudan through dialogue and peaceful means.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the appreciation of the State of Qatar for the efforts of the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt in hosting the summit, and also expressed the hope of the State of Qatar that the outcomes of this summit and other good offices would pave the way for a permanent cessation of the military conflict, and then engage in broad negotiations in which all countries would participate. Sudanese political forces, to reach a comprehensive agreement and sustainable peace, that achieves the aspirations of the brotherly Sudanese people for stability, development and prosperity.
