Ramtane Lamamra briefs Ugandan President on peace efforts in Sudan

October 8, 2024 (PEN) The UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy to Sudan, Ramtane Lamamra, announced his meeting with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, where he briefed him on the UN's efforts to bring peace to Sudan.

In a tweet on the (X) platform, Lamamra stressed the importance of coordination and integration between all initiatives seeking to achieve peace in Sudan. He stressed the UN Secretary-General's support for African mediation efforts aimed at stopping the ongoing war in the country.
