Abdel-Ati and Guterres discuss the Sudanese crisis

July 29, 2025 (PEN) - Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdel Aty stressed, during his meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, on the sidelines of his participation in the International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Issue in New York, the importance of respecting Sudan's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and rejecting any foreign interference in its internal affairs.

According to an official statement, the meeting addressed developments in Sudan, with both sides reviewing ongoing efforts to resolve the crisis and the tireless efforts being made to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire. They also stressed the need to preserve Sudanese state institutions, as they are the guarantor of the country's stability and security.
