Qatar: The Sudanese crisis is not forgotten, and we continue to support efforts toward a peaceful solution.

June 17, 2025 (PEN) - Dr. Majed Al-Ansari, the official spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said during a press conference held on Tuesday that Qatar's position on the crisis of our brothers in Sudan has continued since day one, and is represented by calling for a peaceful resolution to the crisis.

Al-Ansari explained that Qatar has supported various regional and international mediation efforts, including those led by Saudi Arabia and the United States, as well as through the African Union and regional organizations, noting that communication is ongoing with all parties in this regard.

He affirmed that Qatar's humanitarian efforts with its Sudanese brothers are ongoing, emphasizing that the Sudanese crisis has not been forgotten, noting that the Sudanese brothers are at the forefront of Qatari decision-makers and the Qatari people, as demonstrated by humanitarian engagement in this regard.

Al-Ansari concluded by saying, "We sincerely look forward to the day when Sudan celebrates the end of this crisis and the beginning of a new era of security and stability for our Sudanese brothers."
