Qatar renews its support for the unity of Sudan and respect for the choices of the Sudanese people

May 6, 2024 (PEN) The State of Qatar renewed its firm position in support of the unity, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sudan.

This came during a meeting between the Foreign Minister-designate, Hussein Awad, with the Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation, Lulwa Al-Khater, where she stressed the need to stop foreign interference in Sudan’s internal affairs, which leads to fueling the conflict, and to fully respect the choices of the Sudanese people in freedom, peace, justice and prosperity.

During their meeting, the two sides also discussed cooperation relations between the two countries, ways to support and enhance them, and developments in the situation in Sudan.
