Qatar condemns "horrific violations" in Rapid Support Forces attacks on El Fasher

October 28, 2025 (PEN) The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar’s strong condemnation of the horrific violations that occurred during the Rapid Support Forces’ attacks on El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State.

The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the State of Qatar is deeply concerned about the tragic humanitarian situation in the city, stressing the need for the Rapid Support Forces to fulfill their duty to protect civilians, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, and adhere to international humanitarian law, as stated in the Jeddah Declaration.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Doha’s position calling for a resolution to the armed conflict in Sudan through dialogue and peaceful means, stressing its rejection of any form of interference in Sudanese internal affairs, and its commitment to supporting the unity, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sudan, and the aspirations of its people for peace, development and prosperity.
