A meeting between the European Union representative and the European Commissioner for Crisis Management discusses the situation in Sudan

27 June 2024 (PEN) The European Union Special Representative for the Horn of Africa, Annette Weber, stressed the importance of the pressing major challenges facing Sudan and the African region in her meeting with Janez Lenarcic, European Commissioner for Crisis Management.

In his tweet on (X), Lenarcic referred to an alarming report stating that Sudan is facing the worst levels of food insecurity, with increasing humanitarian pressures due to escalating conflicts. He stressed that it is necessary for efforts to end conflicts and enable humanitarian organizations to provide assistance to remain absolute priorities.
