Two Turkish foundations are providing humanitarian aid to thousands affected by the war in Sudan.

January 3, 2026 (PEN) The Turkish Hope Caravan Foundation and the European Orphan Relief Association provided humanitarian aid to thousands of people affected in Sudan, which is witnessing an ongoing war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, which has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the country, according to Anadolu Agency.

In a joint statement issued yesterday, Friday, the two organizations reported that they distributed meals to 5,500 people, 650 food baskets, and 500 packages of milk for children, in addition to tents and cash assistance for 70 families, as well as the slaughter of 30 sacrificial animals that were distributed to those in need.

Erdal Ali Buyuk, vice president of the Hope Caravan Foundation, told Anadolu Agency that this aid targets families who fled from different areas as a result of the clashes and are struggling to secure their basic needs and survive.

For his part, Nizamuddin Aygan, representative of the European Orphan Hand Association, confirmed the continuation of humanitarian relief programs that include the distribution of food, cash assistance and blankets, in support of families affected by the conflict.
