Egyptian-French talks address the humanitarian situation in Sudan

October 4, 2025 (PEN) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdel Aati met on Friday with his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, during his visit to Paris to head Egypt's delegation to UNESCO's Executive Council meetings.

According to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Abdel Aati reviewed Egypt's unwavering support for Sudan's security, stability, unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity during the meeting, stressing the need to preserve and support its national institutions.

The Minister stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to lift the siege on the city of El Fasher in North Darfur State and end the humanitarian suffering of civilians there.
