Geneva Talks: We Support Sudan in Reaching Cessation of Hostilities

August 14, 2024 (PEN) On the first day of the Geneva talks, the United States, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the African Union, and the United Nations issued a joint statement affirming their commitment to supporting Sudan in achieving humanitarian access and a cessation of hostilities.

The statement indicated that the concerned parties are working hard to activate the results of the previous meetings held in Jeddah, and to enhance compliance with international humanitarian law.
