US official calls for accelerating aid delivery to Sudan

October 19, 2024 (PEN) USAID Administrator Samantha Power expressed deep concern about the suspension of aid to the Zamzam camp for displaced people in Sudan, where hundreds of thousands face famine.

With thousands of children at risk, there is an urgent need for food and life-saving assistance, Power said in a tweet on (X).

Power called on the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to stop obstructing aid and speed up its delivery to the most vulnerable groups.
