Egypt calls for the protection of civilians after the El Fasher attack.

October 12, 2025 (PEN) The Arab Republic of Egypt expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted a shelter for displaced persons in the city of El Fasher, North Darfur, which resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of people, in what it considered a "flagrant violation of international humanitarian law."

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt stressed the need for concerted efforts to achieve a ceasefire and end the war in Sudan, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the supreme national interests of the Sudanese people and preserving their lives and resources.

Egypt also offered its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the Sudanese government and people, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
