Egypt stresses the need to implement the Quartet statement and achieve a humanitarian truce in Sudan.

November 15, 2025 (pen) Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty held a telephone conversation today, Saturday, with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs, to discuss developments in Sudan.

During the call, Minister Abdel-Aati stressed the importance of a ceasefire and creating the conditions for a comprehensive political process that preserves Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and stability.

Based on the results of his recent visit to Sudan on November 11, the minister pointed to the horrific atrocities and violations witnessed in the city of El Fasher, calling for concerted regional and international efforts to support the Sudanese people and their national institutions.

The minister also stressed the need to implement the Quartet statement on Sudan in its entirety, including achieving a comprehensive humanitarian truce as a prelude to a sustainable political process that guarantees the unity of the state and its national institutions.
