Egypt expresses concern over recent developments in Sudan

3 0 September 2024 (Pen) The official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Egypt's deep concern over the recent developments in Sudan, including the bombing of the headquarters of the UAE Ambassador in Khartoum, in clear violation of the rules of international law and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961, which guarantees protection and immunity for the headquarters of diplomatic missions.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned this incident, stressing the need to adhere to the provisions of international humanitarian law and provide protection for civilians, while emphasizing the need to ensure the safety and protection of diplomatic missions at all times.
