The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate mourns the death of journalist Mohamed Mahmoud “Hasaka”.

December 9, 2025 (PEN) The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate mourned on Tuesday the death of journalist Mohamed Mahmoud “Hasaka”, who passed away in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

The union explained in a statement that the deceased worked as a presenter on a number of satellite channels and local radio stations, including Blue Nile TV, Al-Shuruq TV and 106.6 FM radio, noting that he was one of the prominent media figures whose work touched the hearts of the Sudanese public.

According to the union, the deceased was known for his cheerful spirit, human presence, and ability to professionally express the issues and concerns of citizens, which earned him widespread love and consensus from his followers and colleagues.

The statement added that Mohamed Mahmoud was “a media professional who was aware of his role, committed to the issues of his people, and a role model who combined professional creativity with a sense of humanity,” stressing that his departure represents a great loss to the Sudanese media scene.

The union offered its condolences to the family of the deceased and his colleagues in the media, praying to God to have mercy on him and inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
