The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate mourns the loss of Sudanese journalist Qasim Al-Sayed Al-Tayeb

February 14, 2026 (PEN) The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate mourned the passing of colleague Qasim Al-Sayed Al-Tayeb Qasim Al-Sayed, who died yesterday, Friday, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after a long struggle with illness, expressing its deep sorrow and regret at the loss of one of the pillars of Sudanese journalism.

The union said that the deceased, whose name has been associated with the Khartoum newspaper since the 1990s, worked in the editorial secretariat alongside his administrative duties, and remained an example of dedication and activity, beloved among his colleagues, humble in his dealings, and keen to follow up on everyone’s conditions.

The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate extends its sincerest condolences and deepest sympathies to the family of the Khartoum newspaper, and to the family of the deceased, his colleagues and loved ones, asking God Almighty to have mercy on him, to grant him a place in Paradise, and to grant his family patience and solace.
